i got a sharp pain today in my wrist, i thought it was a bug bite.  it's now bruised and looks more like a broken blood vessel.  is it dangerous?

Likely not: It is strange that a blood vessel would spontaneously rupture. If your hand moves, feels and looks like normal, you are OK. Check out the cause with your doctor. All the best.

my son has (what i thought was) a bug bite on the bottom of his foot, he mentioned it first thing this morning and throughout the day the swelling has increased and he has been in a lot of pain on and off. also, the swelling is now becoming hard?

i have had what i thought was a bug bite for months now. it is about a centimeter long and only hurts if i scratch at it. originally, it was the color of my skin, but now it is turning light brown. my mom says it's a mole, but i'm worried. dr or no?

small bug bite size spot on leg. used calamine but got worse, now fist size. no major sores just red and itchy. thoughts?

Reaction, infection?: My two thoughts are a significant local reaction or a local infection. Since it is itchy, I'd go first with the local allergic reaction. Topical calamine often won't cut the mustard for this, so I would try oral Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and cool compresses to area. If after a few doses of that things are not improving, then I would be more suspicious of infection and you need to see doc or go to urgent care.

Rash: It is difficult to say without seeing the rash. common causes will include dry skin, fungal infection,eczema and contact dermatitis

Infection: Although it could be a bug bite, there is concern about a skin lesion that fails to resolve. If it is a bite, it could be infected. If it's not a bite, one of the increasingly common infections that initially appears like a bite is MRSA skin infection. Since either case may require antibiotics, you should see your physician for an accurate diagnosis.

what doctor should i see about a roundish semi-soft lump under the skin just below the earlobe behind the jaw? noticed it 3 days ago, and thought it was a non-itchy bug bite. it seems bigger now, and the area around there is achy. no other symptoms?

Infected bite: If you have worsening local irritation days after an insect with pus collection chances are that the bite has become infected. The local reaction may also be result of tissue damage if it is a venomous bite. Please arrange for a consult for a proper assessment and treatment. Take care.
