My son has (what i thought was) a bug bite on the bottom of his foot, he mentioned it first thing this morning and throughout the day the swelling has increased and he has been in a lot of pain on and off. also, the swelling is now becoming hard?

Could be reaction to insect bite, could be infection from bacteria introduced under the skin by insect bite. Need direct examination to differentiate To Primary Care or Urgent Care (before it becomes serious).
