Mouth injury: With any significant injury, pain can last for several days. You my take tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin for pain control.  However, you may consider seeing your dentist to make sure there is no underlying fracture.

my right elbow hurts when i lift something or brush my teeth, also my right knee bothers me a little when i climb up stairs.   what could i have?

Tendonitis likely: Of the elbow, as the tennis elbow is a common condition, having pain with lifting. The knee could be a tendonitis of the patellar tendon or early knee cap arthritis are the most likely causes of pain on climbing stairs.
Your orthopod would be able to diagnose it properly and treat you.

was elbowed in the mouth in a football match and my teeth are really hurting. need some tips on how to get rid of the pain?

Elbow to mouth: Trauma to your teeth after contact with an elbow can cause pain/discomfort. If the teeth start feeling better in a few days you should be ok  if Motrin or tylenol (acetaminophen) do not take the pain away, you may have a fractured tooth or root. You could have luxated the tooth and a root canal may be needed. Visit your local dentist for an evaluation and x-ray to make sure all is ok.

i got a face injury, 3 days ago where my friend elbowed me in the face and i feel numbness in my nostril, face, lip and top teeth will i heal?

Facial Injury: A blow to the face just below the eye causes some damage to the infraorbital nerve, which gives sensation to the upper lip, upper teeth, face, and nostril on the injured side. The crush injury rarely causes permanent numbness, and recovery of function is the rule, although it takes time. In the meantime, be careful with hot liquids and foods on that side.

elbow to the face by the sinus area now under the eye down the nose to top lip and teeth all numb no sensation been 4 days now. how long will the numbness take to heal?

: It may takes weeks for the superficial nerve injury to resolve. However, I expect some improvement by the next couple days. Good luck and no more fight.

once in a while i put the elbow grease on my teeth brush. can i damage the enamel brushing roughly in this manner?

Accepted Answer

Yes and no: Hard brushing is more likely to cause gum recession.  Once the gums recede and expose the roots of the teeth they can be damaged by hard brushing.  Brush gently but thoroughly at least 2x/day for a full 2 minutes by the clock.

my 14 y/o son was playing basketball and got elbowed to his front teeth, his teeth feel kinda sore. is this anything serious?

Tooth pain: You could  give him Pain medication,  external ice pk. But if the pain is severe or persisted  see his dentist . Good luck

: You suffered a traumatic injury to area that possibly caused a nerve damage to your teeth and surrounding tissue areas. You need an x-ray of area as well as of teeth. A possible small fracture could be present to teeth as well  as surrounding bone. Numbness could    disappear in time if no further injury. You still to see a dentist or oral surgeon for an exam.

can tmj cause problems with shoulder, elbow & arm pain too? have misaligned jaw, dropped left, chewed through 2 guards at night & ground down teeth

It is all connected!: The TM Joint can refer pain down into the neck, shoulder and arm.  Our bodies brace when we experience pain.  If left untreated, the pain can spread throughout our entire head and neck area and into the shoulder and arm.  
Schedule an evaluation as soon as you can to get to the bottom of the problem.

i got elbow to the maxilla area under the eye went and got an x-ray done. made appt with a ent dr a week later.they said they didnt see any fractures.and im numb from area down to my teeth but noticed a dent in the area of hit should get a ct done?

: Possible paresthesia to nerves in area from traumatic blow. If numbness continues than see a neurologist for exam and treatment. Also you could see an oral surgeon for an x-ray and exam since teeth are involved.
