Stress incontinence: You could have stress urinary incontinence which is urinary leakage caused by activity, cough, strain.  Another type, termed urge incontinence, is due to unwanted bladder contraction. Stress incontinence is common in females especially after having previous vaginal delivery.  If this was only occurance, would not worry but if it continues and is bothersome seek medical evaluation.

Bladder instability: Well, our bladder holds urine with the help of pelvic floor muscles, bladder muscles and a small gate ( sphincter). For us to urinate, there has to be perfect co-ordination of opening of the gate with relaxation of pelvic floor muscles while contraction of bladder muscles. So you don't have to pregnant for this synchronicity to be lost. You need to see urologist for further work up.

i gave birth at 28 weeks of pregnancy on 07.03.2019 due to prom. so now she i try to do exercise  (skip rope or jumping jacks and running) and sneeze  i pee on myself. what could be the problem?

Incontinence: Postpartum incontinence affects almost a third of new moms. Many of these see resolution of the symptoms over time as the muscles in this are heal and the uterus shrinks. Kegel exercises help to strengthen the vaginal floor muscles and can hasten this return to normal. Weight loss, avoiding constipation, avoiding acidic drinks/foods can also help. If symptoms last &gt;6 months talk to your DR.

just had my 2nd baby. when i jump-exercise, pee keeps leaking out. normal? anything i can do?

Vaginal strength!: Your problem is very common after childbirth, called stress incontinence. Muscles of the pelvic floor get weak with childbirth. You can notice how these muscles function when you hold the flow while peeing. Do this twice a day for 5 minutes. Place a finger in your vagina and squeeze finger with vagina for 5 seconds, then release. I found these exercises for you on the web! Yoga and Pilates too!

i can't control my pee since having a baby. i wet my pants when i jump or run. what can ij do to fix this?

Kegels, Pessary, ..: After vaginal delivery urine stress incontinence may occur which means bladder leakage with any pressure on the bladder (e.g. Cough, jump, run). Kegel exercises (tightening/loosening the muscles of rectum/bladder) may help. If severe your gyn can give you a pessary (a device that pushes bladder upward). The last resort is surgery.

sudden knee pain from a landing maneuver you described may simply be an impact injury that bruised soft tissue and bones. Worst-case scenario pictures include meniscus tears, impact damage to the cartilage surfaces of the bones, and a hairline fracture.

Knee pain can be notoriously deceptive in terms of its origin and location. Seems that you are still able to walk. Does your knee hurt with activities, and if so what kinds (squatting, pivoting, jumping/landing)?

The severity and the length of time that the pain is still present would motivate me to seek medical attention. If your knee is still hurting after a month with particular activities, or if the pain is escalating, i would definitely see an orthopedic physician in your area. Some injuries such as meniscus tears and cartilage surface injuries are unlikely to heal on their own and a delay in diagnosis and treatment may decrease the ultimate success of your treatment.

i'm obese,been doing zumba/tabata for 3 months. when i try to do burpees i get a pins and needles sensation in my calf upon jumping up. any ideas?

Nerve pain: A pins and needles sensation is usually indicative of nerve pain. If you have been relatively inactive and then start a high intensity workout program, the sensory nerves in your lower extremities are experiencing stretching they are not accustomed to. Stick with the workouts, you are not causing any long term problems. Applaud you for getting fit!

i am 25 weeks pregnant and i have normal kicks every other day but tonight my entire stomach is frantically jerking/jumping spazzing feeling all over nonstop .... had a few small cramps earlier but that subsided. ... i am concerned because ive lost 2?

Can call one's ObGyn: With a prior history of 2 miscarriages, it's probably safer to get seen. One can be checked by her Ob-Gyn doctor. That may mean going now to the hospital's Labor and Delivery ward to be monitored to see what is going on, depending on how the doctor handles these issues at 6 months gestation. Monitoring can see how the uterus is behaving, how the baby is reacting (baby's heart rate pattern), etc...

36 yo. i have had severe fatigue for about three weeks. joint pain started about two weeks ago. tonight i just realized that despite my normal intake, i have new dizziness, nausea, & have only peed a small amount twice today. should i be concerned?

Symptoms: Hi.  Your symptoms are very non-specific, but some of the things I think of when I hear of patients with symptoms such as yours is autoimmune conditions such as lupus.  But like I mentioned, there could be lots of reasons for your symptoms and like Dr. Butler mentioned, its time to go see your doctor for a full history, physical and additional testing.  Good luck!
