Diet & exercise: Make sure you exercise at least 90 minutes a day, don't skip meals, avoid soda, juice, dairy, alcohol and fried foods.  Eat a healthy well balanced diet! also water, organic vegetable broth, green leafy vegetables, natural pickles, apples are great to fill you up so you dont feel hungry and they are very low in calories.

Many variables: Weight gain overnight is usually a sign of fluids shifting into "storage" compartments (tissue spaces) in the body. This can occur with extra salt intake in your diet  congestive heart failure, end of menstrual cycle bloating, as well as poor kidney function. It is best if this continues to have a MD exam to find out why this is recurring if you eliminate the simpler reasons for the fluid gain.

If you are eating: very little - you may be using up energy stores in your liver (glycogen) which tends to hold onto water. This could be causing weight loss primarily through water. Usually the weight comes back on once you start eating normally again. This does not  sound like cancer.

That's too fast: If you are working out aerobically that is sufficient  if. You aren't eating too much in the process but if you want to keep it off when you reach your goal i would stick to a maximum of 1 pound/week.

: You need to reduce your food intake to no more than 1200 calories. This will have to be a long term change otherwise you will lose weight and gain it back up as soon as you slacken on your food intake.
For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

May be lean...: If your percent body fat is very low, you will have to go low calorie and/or expend more.  If you have fat to lose, go without carbs for the next two weeks.  Even then, 10 lbs in two weeks...It will be very hard or impossible. Please do not let yourself use diuretics to dehydrate yourself, or use purgatives to lose weight.  Some coaches will encourage this. My coach in college did!@!

Consider goal of : losing 1/2 to 2 pounds per week. Eat healthfully &amp; be physically active. Aim for 7.5 to 8 hrs of sleep / night. Hydrate w at least 64 oz of water / day. Calories burned must &gt; calories consumed.  Do both cardio &amp; weight training. You can mix &amp; match different kinds of exercise.

Slow down !: Set more realistic weight loss goal then 10 pounds in 2 weeks. To lose weight insure that calories burned &gt; calories consumed. Drink at least 8  - 8 oz glasses of water per day.  Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables &amp; 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol &amp; junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic &amp; weight lifting exercises.
