Ultrasound : Ultrasound of the testes is done to confirm epididymitis and rule out any other testicular pathology such as tumor. It is not doen for hernia. I think you should have ultrasound of testes done.

No spoon: The physicals exam places an index finger into the external inguinal ring using the excess skin on the scrotum to allow this to happen. If someone is spooning you in a doctors office, you may want to question the practice.

: I recommend asking the gynecologic surgeon to examine you &amp;  determine whether there could be retained sutures, an abscess or adhesions as a cause of your ongoing discomfort.
