Yes: It's very hard to check it ur self. If u c a bulge that i can push in, it is likely a hernia. U need to call ur pcp and be seen in person.

CT scan : Can detect hernia in some cases. Best detection is with person standing and doc sitting... Best docs to detect are general surgeons.
