Vinegar tonic: Vinegar belongs to the class of high nutrient foods that have strong detoxifying health properties.  Although formal research has not provided ample support for this, many empiric traditions of medicine support its health benefits especially when taken daily like other tonics such as astralagus.  I use a couple teaspoons with olive oil and sea salt for a tangy home made salad dressing.

Take them separately: If you want to use apple cider vinegar (acv) each day, do it separately from taking your medications (including adderall).  Then there won't be a potential conflict.  Some feel small daily doses of acv can improve bowel irregularity, clear up skin conditions,  improve joint stiffness/pain, and help digest fats and sugars.  It seems wiser to take any medications with regular water, though.

: You can, although there is no proven benefit doing  so, and because supplements are not regulated, it is no guarantee that you would actually be getting what The label says you will get. You also have to be careful of interactions between your supplements and any medication that you may take. Good luck.

In general, yes: Each person reacts differently to any therapy so the bottom line is what works for you.  Having said this, a good caveat is always take the least amount of anything for the optimum result.  So, try decreasing the amount of apple cider vinegar to find the lowest dosage that will control the acid reflux.  If adequate control requires 2 tablespoons 3 times a day, so be it.

No: No. Vinegar is not an issue. Hard cider would be another matter as that does contain alcohol.

STOP!: Vinegar is the same as dilute acetic acid.  This is not how you treat bv.  In fact, this is probably quite irritating to the vaginal skin and will almost certainly kill off the normal vaginal bacteria and just make the problem worse.  Ask your doctor for a prescription for "metrogel" and this will help.

Why would you take?: Apple cider vinegar when consumed in large amounts may lower potassium levels, promote osteoporosis, raise renin levels, alter insulin levels, &amp; even burn your esophagus. Apple cider vinegar tablets are not well regulated, may vary dramatically in terms of vinegar content from brand to brand, &amp; lack evidence of efficacy.

Accepted Answer

No, avoid it.: Apple cider vinegar is high in acetic acid.  Contrary to the popular wisdom on the nets, it does not improve acid reflux.  In fact, powdered capsules of ACV can cause serious esophageal burns if the capsule lodges in the esophagus.  You are much better off using standard antacids and seeing your doctor if you have reflux more than 2-3 times per week.  Good luck.

i have persistent dandruff. constant itching with flakes within one day of washing even when using apple cider vinegar. dandruff shampoos don't work. ?

Nizoral (ketoconazole) AD: Many people with persistent dandruff find that the shampoo Nizoral (ketoconazole) AD used 2-3 times a week works when other dandruff shampoos do not. Shampoo it in and let it stay in the hair for 5 minutes before washing out. It is expensive but it works for many people.
