i started to use doxycycline 100mg for an eye infection last week. now i'm having a burning sensation while urination. any home remedies or something?

Must be examined: Doxycycline will nit usually cover a UTI. You need a urineanalysis and bacterial culture.
Some simple guidelines before being seen:
Force fluids: 8-10 glasses of electrolyte water drinks (Powerade, G, Vitamin Water).
Avoid all citrus fruits/drinks: orange, grapefruit, lemon, lime, tomatoes, etc.
Abstain sexually for 5-7 days while on medication.
No tight underwear, thongs, tight jeans or swimsuits

Common, Get Treated!: Different types of eye infections, both viral and bacterial, can be very contagious and can spread between eyes.  It's very important to get medication treatment for both eyes & also to use care and diligence for the best hygiene to minimize spread.  For example, frequent hand washing, avoiding touching the face, use of a towel on your pillow, and disposing of tissue paper after each use can help.

we have used sulphacetamide ointment  for the last two days and it still does not look any better?

Eye infection: You need to see an ophthalmologist for evaluation of the infection and the proper treatment. It is very important to know the cause of the infection in order to properly treat. Big difference between viral and bacterial infection.

i was put on prednisone for an eye infection. i already am diagnosed with hypertension. my blood pressure is now 145/86. will it go back to normal after i finish my last 3 days on prednisone?

: It should take it properly
1.  In am before BP MEDS
2. ATTACH CUF AND WAIT 5 min. Time yourself.
3. Take 3 readings then average. Check daily till back to goal  unless your Dr has given you another goal it is recommended that your home average should be less than 135/85.

What type of workout: Most eye infections are limited to the outside of the eye and in almost all cases, as long as you are being treated you can exercise.  More importantly than whether you can exercise is the type and location of exercise.  It is not a good idea to swim or share gym equipment if you have an infection, since you can transfer it to others.  You should ask your eye doctor about your specific infection.
