I started to use doxycycline 100mg for an eye infection last week. now i'm having a burning sensation while urination. any home remedies or something?

Must be examined: Doxycycline will nit usually cover a UTI. You need a urineanalysis and bacterial culture. Some simple guidelines before being seen: Force fluids: 8-10 glasses of electrolyte water drinks (Powerade, G, Vitamin Water). Avoid all citrus fruits/drinks: orange, grapefruit, lemon, lime, tomatoes, etc. Abstain sexually for 5-7 days while on medication. No tight underwear, thongs, tight jeans or swimsuits

Could be yeast: Antibiotics can effect your own natural flora(bacteria) in the Guts and urinary track. Pls hydrate your self well and take cranberry. You will need urinalysis. Most likely you may have yeast infection. If you have a stye for the eye lids stop the oral antibiotics and use topical antibiotics, heat pack and baby shampoo to clean the lids. Pls follow up with your doc.

Stop doxycycline ?: The likely cause is a yeast infection as the result of doxycycline if you were a female. If problem fails to improve after a few days, talk to your doctor.
