Head/neck symptoms: Pulling someone's head sounds like a dubious and potentially dangerous practice.  Apply a heat pack, try some acetaminophen and please see your doctor.

Accepted Answer

You need to be : More specific.  If it is currently broken, time will tell.  Outside of that need to know more about the injury, place problems, etc.  Pt is generally good but not if you have certain spine issues.  If it is DJD you can try some over the counter nsaids and tylenol (acetaminophen).

RFA, PT, NSAIDs: Curved spine (scoliosis) and "worn discs" are extremely common in people that have no pain at all, so both of those things aren't necessarily the causes of pain.

Both though, can cause pain by putting pressure on the joints in the back.  A thorough evaluation by a spine specialist should be able to tell you what is causing the pain (the joints, the discs, the muscles/ligaments, etc).

Pain in the back: I have degenerative disk disease myself. I find that the over the counter preparation called: osteo-bi-flex really helps, but it takes a month or two to kick in. It contains glucosamine, chondroitin and something called msm. Be sure and discuss with your physician and good luck to you.

Neck spasm: Yes, botulinum toxin, though the relief is often temporary. There are all sorts of other treatments you should explore short of neck injections i.E therapeutic modalities.

terrible pain in middle of spine & left middle back that radiates around the side of my body. do work at a desk all day so maybe muscular? hurts with movement and rest. i've convinced myself its a pe (thanks anxiety) using heat but no relief?

: I'm suspicious of a radiculopathy, a nerve inpingement by a bone spur or bulging disc in the midspine. An MRI would he able to detect such a problem. I recommend consulting a neurologist. Appropriate testing would be done.

It may: Certainly the body is amazing, and mostly everything is connected in one way or the other.  If your spine is out of alignment, it can certainly affect different parts of the body adversely with referred pain, especially as nerves that innervate certain areas emanate form the spinal area in question.

No- epidural steroid: Injection is not a diagnostic test but a treatment . You need to have a physician who is knowledgable about both conditions evaluate you and the appropriate studies for both regions and determine the exact cause or causes of your symptoms.  An orthopedic surgeon may be a good specialist to choose.

i am asking for a genuine pain doctor to help me get relief so i can get my life back. i've tried everything and im set up w/ two spine surgeons, but as of now while waiting i am in so much pain. i only have medicaid but ill travel. i can't function in my

Genuine pain: Please get a referral to a pain doctor so you can be evaluated for this. Keep your appointment with the surgeons they can provide some valuable insight. Biggest problem is finding an md that takes medicaid.
