my baso% in blood test result is 1.4. is this okay? and sometimes under my eyes appear red dots (under skin), look like freckles but red (not acne). they disappear after 2 days. i'm quite worried about this too. does high baso lead this ?

: That transient skin finding is less likely related to the mild basophilia. I won't worry much for now but would prefer a repeat CBC with differential in a month for ruling out persistent basophilia. If it persists, then your family doctor will plan the next step. Not uncommonly have I seen this transient change and most of the time the cause can't be found. Good luck.

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, there is no cause for concern. You may take vitamin B12 and Folate to address the slightly large size of red cells. Basophil count is not of concern.    Wish you good health!

i had a cbc  for work w/ some high & low #s.  lymph % came back at 45.4, mono % at 4.1, and baso # at 0. should i be worried?

No worry: The percentages are not as important as the absolute numbers.  The numbers you report are unexciting.

white cells is 13.7, lymp 4.36, mono 1.08 and baso 0.16 i had a splenectomy for itp in 2001 and recently diagnosed with ibs - are these figures high?

Labs are: Incomplete but do suggest possible infection. But without total and full history hard to say.  Further more Steroids can cause leukocytosis.  You did not mention neutrophil Ct or percentage

my result blood test came back and showed high monocytes 19% absolute 0.7. my wbc was 3.7. my gra 43.2 % absolute 1.7. lymphocytes 1.4.  37%. eoso 2% baso 1% segmental 46%  all my other wbc normal and so were my rbc. just worried by the high monocyte?

Any symptoms?: Do you have any symptoms? Why were these tests done? All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your monocyte count is not a cause for concern.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

: It is critical to interpret lab tests with respect to clinical findings. All these numbers are borderline normal and can indicate nothing. However WBC and % neutrophils are slightly high and could indicate an infection somewhere- UTI or elsewhere.

good morning!  i went to my pcp to have my blood work done for our healthyreturns program. the blood work did not come back with all normal levels. my ldl was 121 and they called to tell me to return in 6 months to test again. however, the results show good for my total cholesterol on the healthyreturns site. my chloride levels and ur spec gravity is low. my albumin, a/g ratio, and baso (absolute) are high. should i be concerned or get a 2nd test sooner?

Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, LDL is in normal range for a person with usual risks, it would have helped had to provided the actual levels of other results. since 2007 my mch, mcv, hct, hgb, and baso tests have come back low. now my rdw is high, potassium is low and crp level has doubled.  why?

Need more info: You definitely need to discuss with your doctor who ordered those test to give an interpretation of the blood work result.What i can say here is that if you have low hb/hct and MCV and now RDW is high- that means you have anemia- and you should have some eval to find the etiology of anemia- likely is iron deficiency- but also some other etiologies have to be ruled out. F/u with your md and d/w md.
