Pancytopenia : There are a number of potential causes for what you describe as "anemia" or even "pancytopenia", which include cancers, enlarged spleen, lupus, medicines, infection. It sounds like your low blood count is causing symptoms, which means you may require iron pills or even blood transfusion. : Please request another urine test and quantity of urine protein screening. Autoimmune disease should be considered, and is often associated with renal disease. Screening tests are available. Monitor BP and please follow up with your physician soon. If symptoms described are present currently, please see urgent care or the Emergency room, depending on the severity.

Low WBC: Officially  neutrophils &lt; 1500 is neutropenia ,but 1414 should be enough to fight infection.   What was your red blood cell count? abnormal , immature WBC?  recent infection?  medications? Would repeat it in 1 month.  Are you perimenopausal that can cause fatigue. Also could check thyroid function and  may consider a few basic  autoimmune tests like ANA, CRP, ESR. f/u/ w/ MD, hem-onc

Blood cough: Okay you need to go and see your doctor asap. Coughing up blood is not a normal thing. Also you have raised wc's and pain  and tiredness - this points to an infection usually bacterial. You need a chest x-ray and treatment.

Why worry?: It all depends on why the white blood cell count is elevated. If it is due to infection it will drop to normal as the infection resolves. If it is due to steroid therapy it will return to normal when the dose of steroids is tapered off. If it is due to a form to leukemia it will return to normal with effective therapy. The actual elevated count is less important than the cause.
