Get seen by an Ortho: Doc as in my opinion you need to be examined and get appropriate imaging scans, to confirm if the pain is from a knee lesion or is it referred. The high wbc-- are they in the blood, urine or in the fluid from the knee? If its from the knee, one has to exclude an infection in the joint? Gout can also give an increase wbc. Good luck.
