Possibly torus: You may have torus palatinus, but this is a mere suggestion without seeing it. It needs to be looked at for clear diagnosis. A primary care doc or a dentist needs to be consulted.

Antibiotics: Antibiotics do not cure infected teeth, only limit the spread of infection.  Pills alone won't do it.  
Sounds like you have abscessed (infected) tooth/teeth and infection is spreading.  Now that you're off the antibiotic infection will come roaring back.  You must see a dentist for definitive treatment.  Don't self medicate.  Get to dentist immediately.

what should the hard palate feel like, when i run my finger down it feels just a tiny higher than the left and right and i cant tell if thats normal or im overreacting?

Overreacting: We are not exactly symmetric. Variation from one side to the other is the norm rather than the exception. However, it is impossible to virtually determine if this is normal variation or pathology. Go see an expert with over 10'000 hours of formal training and years of experience, your Dentist.

Convex palate?: I have never seen or heard of a convex palate. One can have a bony protuberance known as a torus palatinus.

It can be..or not..: Please make sure you see the dentist for a  thorough  history taking and evaluation. While many of those bumps are natural variation of bone growth ( called palatial tori) ,  there are still some pathologic lesions and growths in these areas that can be dangerous and cancerous. Please have it checked.

Not without you: Need you and the x-ray ! typically, however, the tooth will be lateral to the hard palate, on the right side. Vertical position is variable. Also, the palate is very thin throughout.

hello. i have a hard red bump and redness around it, slightly painful on my hard palate. i did eat something hot on saturday. what coukd it be?

Palate burn: It sounds like you burned the roof of your mouth, and now it is blistered and inflamed. Ibuprofen and a cool icey beverage may help with symptoms. Most burns or mouth ulcers take 7-14 days to heal and can be quite painful. Sometimes doctors write a "magic mouthwash" with topical viscous lidocaine, prednisolone, etc to help with symptoms. See an ENT or primary doctor if symptoms persist.

Hard Palate is OK: The hard palate refers to the upper part of the mouth that has underlying bone.  Towards the back of the throat, the tissue does not have bone supporting it and is called the soft palate.   The hard palate has salivary glands that can swell when you eat hot spicy foods.  That condition usually subsides quickly after eating.  A dentist can check it for you if you are worried.  Sounds normal.
