: In the absence of other symptoms such as diarrhea and abdominal pain, green stool in adults is usually the result of something you recently consumed. Common causes include green leafy vegetables, food dyes, and iron supplements. I imagine that the chorizo is culprit. If you develop watery diarrhea that lasts more than 48 hrs, please see a medical provider.

Not likely: The color of the stools can certainly be affected by the type of food that we eat, but usually not black unless you eat raw red meat or other dish containing animal blood.  If you are really having jet black and tarry stools, then it may suggest bleeding inside the stomach or small bowels. You need to see your doctor right away for urgent evaluation.

Diet suggestions: AAKP.com Nutrition Counter is excellent. Eat low salt, no saturated fat, low cholesterol, 7 servings of colored fruit and vegetables daily. No bread, pasta, sugar. Only very lean animal protein (4 - 5 oz per day of fish, poultry, egg white best). No fried food.  Don't smoke. Drink 3 liters unsugared fuid per day. Exercise twice daily. Aim for 1400 cal per day.  50 gm protein. No carb after 8 pm.

Not proven: The diet says it was made at john hopkins medical school in baltimore and sponsored by general motorrs--thats the gm

but i doubt  jh or gm would ever say you can 
lose 10-17 lbs per week or that the food you eat burns more food. This diet with fruits and vegetables is probably safe, but and might permit you to lose 4 or 5 lbs in a week--it is mostly water, and then the whole diet becomes boring.

Actions Diet: Weight loss or gain depends on how much you eat and how much you burn (exercise). I recommend you get the Loseit or similar app for you phone and chart calories in and out for 2 weeks and then see if you need to add or subtract calories or exercise to get weight where you want it. Simple in concept difficult in execution. Good luck.

Perhaps wait...: Have you had low platelets chronically, or just this one time. It is encouraging that you are not anemic. How is your white blood cell count. You could be slightly low with regard to platelets due to a number of causes, such as viral suppression (transiently can shut down bone marrow) or itp (antibodies to platelets). I would check your platelets again in a month if you have no symptoms.

Unlikely: If you did not have unprotected sex since your last period, you are not pregnant. Your symptoms may be due to hormonal imbalance. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
