Perhaps wait...: Have you had low platelets chronically, or just this one time. It is encouraging that you are not anemic. How is your white blood cell count. You could be slightly low with regard to platelets due to a number of causes, such as viral suppression (transiently can shut down bone marrow) or itp (antibodies to platelets). I would check your platelets again in a month if you have no symptoms.
