Leg movement disorde: Can be due to RLS or plmd or a benign condition called 'hypneic jerks'. Other rare leg movement disorders can present as well and a good history and exam by an experienced sleep doc will help.

Twitching: Twitching is a neuromuscular problem.  Muscles and nerves work using ions (such as ca+/na+/k+).  Try eating bananas and foods rich in calcium.  If it persists, you may need to see a neurologist for emg/ncv studies to make sure you don't have something else going on, such as a nerve impingement in your spine or some type of neuropathy (where the nerves change the way they conduct their signals).

got a sprained/strained ankle not sure which. got it yesterday and now my toes for that foot keeps twitching. any advice or suggestions to stop that?

Ice and elevate: If pretty sure not broken or ligament tear,likely due to the swelling.The best treatment is RICE therapy.Rest,Ice,Compression,Elevate.Be carefulnot to reinjureit.Ice the area down for 20 minutes 3 times a day,elevated the ankle,ace wrap or ace ankle bandage.See physician soon if getting worse or fails to improve

Toe twitching: Get some rest, eat of good healthy meal, drink fluids and see if it goes away.  The chances of it being ALS or ms is incredible small.  It's only been one day.

right side headache with right arm, leg, neck and face pain. occasional tingling in hand n foot with twitching or nerve jumping. i have a lot of stress. what could cause this? stress, neck issues, medication or can you tell me? thank you

Pain &amp; Twitching: You need to find out the cause of your symptoms by seeing your doctor.  Anxiety can produce or intensify what you mention but it is crucial for you to know what you are dealing with.  Stress management w/ the help of a clinical psychologist can be helpful after you find out the cause.  Peace and good health.

i want to know if i should be worried. my left thigh is numb, left foot hurts, eyes twitching, ect. someone said i should be tested for diabetes?

Neuropathy is a: nerve condition that often accompanies diabetes or chemotherapy.  There are times when the origin of it is never really determines.  Please see your doc.  Twitching can simply be the result of low magnesium.  After your doc rules out medical conditions you may want to supplement.  Jigsaw magnesium is a good brand.  Peace and good health.

micro twitch/spasm in rt foot arch and twitching of fourth toe. no pain but annoying when trying to sleep. began 1 week ago after a ski trip. advice?

Foot spasm: or twitching can simply be a sign of a nerve impingement. This can stem from a higher nerve area such as L5, which innervates the middle arch area as well as the 4th toe.  Typically, patients notice the lumbar spinal nerve injuries at night while lying flat.  This may also simply be incidental. I would check with your provider for a proper exam, diagnosis and treatment if needed!

been having twitching all over for 2 weeks. clean emg other than twitching in foot. how long should i leave it? could it be anxiety? what should i do?

It's possible but...: Likely nothing big &amp; it'll stop soon.  If you've had an EMG already. (which I think may have been a bit aggressive) but I don't the rest of your case...I'm just sayin'. I've seen so many people going nuts since this ALS bucket challenge that...well, whatever.  Have you had some general bloodwork done?  That could also complement what you had with the EMG, some electrolytes, thyroids, etc.

my foot from underneath is twitching slightly when i lay down and when i straighten my legs when im sitting what is this?

Spasm: muscle spasms. usually from dehydration/overuse. suggest hydrating well with water and electrolytes plus stretching. sometimes Tonic water with quinine-a glass-helps too. quinine comes with tonic water. no need to buy quinine tablets. would advise against that actually.

my lower left leg, extending to my foot, won't stop twitching for some reason lately. it's like a "creepy crawly feeling" all the time. causes??

Foot twitching: Please find out what is going on by seeing your doc.  If he/she rules out medical condition consider taking magnesium, which can help muscle twitches.  I see that you have had foot surgery.  Be sure to mention that to doc.  Peace and good health.
