Leg movement disorde: Can be due to RLS or plmd or a benign condition called 'hypneic jerks'. Other rare leg movement disorders can present as well and a good history and exam by an experienced sleep doc will help.

See a doctor: If these are pronounced enough and uncontrollable, it might be restless leg syndrome. Sometimes fatigued foot muscles can spasm or twitch after being on them a while. Talk to your doctor about this.
