Ask your doctor to e: Your doctor should explain it to you. it implies that there may be a growth?tumor in this area which is compressing the cecum. If you have any local symptoms like pain or swelling in the right lower abdomen, you may need a CT scan to look for any extrinsic mass in this area.

Not unless symptoms: If you aren't having symptoms from your "diagnosis" (compression of the cecum) then chances are that the finding is benign. It could have been from the ovarian cyst. (Once you reach menopause, ovarian cysts are rare &amp; should be followed but at your age, understandable). It could have been from scarring. In any case, absent blood or constipation, it's not causing any harm and scans are neg. So relx

Fistula: Based upon your description, surgery is the preferred option. A fistula is an abnormal communication or pathway between parts of the body. The cause of the fistula may be due to chronic  appendicitis or other factor. It is unlikely to heal on its own .  Infection potentially could develop which could be quite serious

Ultrasound may not necessarily rule out and urgent attention esp if blood, more pain, fever, tenderness over area, diarrhea, nausea/vomit, unexpected weight loss, anemia.
