Rash: Do you have any underlying condition? Autoimmune disease? DM? Could be eczema, psoriasis, reaction to medication or food or other product, sometimes with strep can get rash, can be fungal infection like ringworm ( scabies is usually itchy). Since it is 2 weeks and spreading, seek medical attention at doctor/ urgent care /dermatologist.

Petroleum jelly: Forehead is an odd place but it could be eczema but i would see your pediatrician.  In general, any good moisturizer would work but petroleum jelly (vaseline) and aquophor are very good at trapping moisture and improving the eczema.  You can also use steroid creams but would consult with your pediatrician first.

i have dry scaly patches on my scalp. head&shoulders doesn't work. my beautician said its psoriasis of the scalp. what should i use?

See below: See your dermatologist.  You may need prescription for topical corticosteriods to treat this.

Work up: Please avoid coconut oil on the skin. An inbox consultation with Healthtap may be useful to you and your pediatrician.  The rash may result in a secondary infection. Watch for signs of drainage, swelling and redness. The Candida yeast infection is usually treatable topically. A culture may be sent to confirm the diagnosis. Use a diaper cream with zinc to promote healing. Consider immune testing.

Eczema: It sounds like your baby has Eczema. Bring it to your pediatrician's attention at the next well child check. The treatment is careful hydration of the skin using non allergenic soaps, lotions and laundry detergent.

Could be many things: If your child has a fever with a red rash, this could be an infection.  Please consider a telemedicine visit or in person visit with your child's healthcare provider.  This type of rash can occur with or without itchiness.

Not enough time, but: Sometimes, one can decrease redness and irritation on acne skin by using an antibiotic gel such as Cleocin gel on the acne areas. For 5-7 days, adding twice a day hydrocortisone cream can soothe redness and irritation (but hydrocortisone is for short term use, and not to be used for too many days). Taking an oral antibiotic such as doxycycline can help decrease pimples within a week.

Allergy on face: They might. Allergy to topical antibiotics is common. The question is why you were using a topical antibiotic on your face in the first place? Yeast infections, allergic dermatitis (such as contact dermatitis), and acne can all cause pigment issues if not taken care of properly. I recommend seeing a dermatologist.
