Not enough time, but: Sometimes, one can decrease redness and irritation on acne skin by using an antibiotic gel such as Cleocin gel on the acne areas. For 5-7 days, adding twice a day hydrocortisone cream can soothe redness and irritation (but hydrocortisone is for short term use, and not to be used for too many days). Taking an oral antibiotic such as doxycycline can help decrease pimples within a week.
