Yes: Naproxen will reduce fever, and possibly affect an expected fever. When you have a fever and suppress it, remember the underlying cause is not affected so make sure you know what it is.

It works.: Naprosyn and aleve (naproxen) are the same medication on different doses.  They both work to reduce the fever as they are NSAIDs.  Follow up with the doctor if the fever does not resolve in a couple of days or if you feel sick.

Infection: While alcohol can cause flushing in some people, it will not cause fever.  The fever is more likely from an infection.  Aleve (naproxen) is effective at treating pain and inflammation.  A better choice may be Acetaminophen (tylenol) or ibuprofen.  It is not a good idea to drink alcoholic beverages and take nsaids at the same time as both can be lead to stomach irritation called gastritis.

May not be naproxen: These  symptoms may in part  be due to the naproxen, especially the GI symptoms  but most  may be something coming on that you actually took the naproxen for. You can discuss this with your physician.

your question will be answered more quickly.In the future,  i would not think nsaids such as naprosyn (naproxen) would be a good choice for gastrointestinal problems.

See a doctor: Hi, emotional problems can definitely bring on or worsen headaches. Aleve (naproxen) may help a little, but you are right: you need to fix the root problems. However, we cannot rule out other causes for your headaches. So it's probably best to talk to a doctor. At the very least, talking about your emotional problems may help headaches.

Hello. : Hello. I can't diagnose your symptoms. This complex of symptoms could result from a number of conditions. If you have burning with urination, have urgency or need to urinate often, this could represent pyleonephritis. You could have influenza or another viral infection.  If you have urinary symptoms you need to seek medical care asap. If you have more generalized symptoms, rest, hydrate well and you can continue to use non-steroidal inflammatory medication to help keep your fever down. It is often the fever that causes musculoskeletal pain. As always, if you get worse, seek medical care.

i took an aleve (naproxen) this morning for a fever but i'm coughing and sneezing so much i'd like to take a dayquil. but is it safe after taking an aleve (naproxen)?

Yes but: Dayquil cough contains dextromethorphan, but some of the other preparations may contan acetaminophen, doxylamine or phenylephrine. None of these should interfere with aleve (naproxen) but the acetaminophen is also used to treat fever. So look at the label.
