PCOS: The cysts formed in PCOS are incomplete ovulations, as they frequently do not rupture "on their own", but remain and enlarge the affected ovaries.  Large ovarian "follicle cysts" can rupture. See your gyn provider, as the "treatment" for PCOS, (unless pregnancy is desired) is usually oral bcp's or the equivalent to suppress ovarian cyst formation, and to prevent changes in the endometrium.

Maybe: They may diminish in size on their own.  Excision is not necessary.  Aspiration of the cyst with a needle is a simple way to treat it.

For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Yes they go away: You have cysts on your ovaries every month prior to ovulation.  Sometimes the cyst fails to ovulate and a cyst becomes persisitant. If this happens you doc could give you oral contraceptive to shrink the cyst.  If the cyst becomes greater that 6 cm sometimes you need surgery.  You should follow up with your doc and check if the cyst is larger or persisitant.

RARELY: RARELY sebaceous cysts go away on their own.They  can be small for years  and never cause  a problem or they often ge tinfected then they need  to be treated  and drained  or removed

Get seen: It won't self-cure. Cystic acne is a life-ruiner for anyone who suffers from it, and it is abuse not to get it treated. A physician may make a trial of topical treatment plus a systemic antibiotic, but it will usually require a medicine such as Accutane which only a dermatologist can prescribe. Scarring from cystic acne can be brutal but can be made less conspicuous, again by a dermatologist.

: Unlikely that they will all disappear.  Your provider most likely recommended a monitoring interval (6-12 months probably) to repeat the thyroid ultrasound. This is meant to assess the stability of these lesions. As long as your thyroid function is normal, the current small size of the nodules makes them not dangerous

i have 2 cysts on my left ovary.one is 2.8 the other is 3.4.what are the chances these will go away on their own? causing a lot of pain to the point im almost sick. doctor wants to monitor them for now.

Generally, cysts are not surgically resolved unless 5 cm or more. These cysts should resolve. However, it would be good to address why you have developed them in the first case. Estrogen dominance may be a cause. The article should help.

i have pain in my lower abdomen. my one gp sent me for a scan and "the cysts will go away on their own". my other gp always tell me it is my womb and give me sti meds when no examination done. the pain won't go away since may 2016. what can i do?

Many causes: Pain in the lower abdomen can be caused by many things besides the uterus and ovaries, other causes are intestinal, muscular, neurological, bladder, and stress. See a different doctor to evaluate for all of these things,
