A member asked:

Can very tiny thyroid nodules under 5mm and one tiny complex cyst on thyroid cartlidge (not due to thyroid disfunction ) go away on their own? how likely are these to grow?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely that they will all disappear. Your provider most likely recommended a monitoring interval (6-12 months probably) to repeat the thyroid ultrasound. This is meant to assess the stability of these lesions. As long as your thyroid function is normal, the current small size of the nodules makes them not dangerous
