Will an infected cyst go away if i leave it alone?

Some risk: I'm assuming this is a skin lesion. It would likely form an abscess and, if you're lucky, would at some point drain spontaneously. That's not the safest way to handle it, as it could cause cellulitis in the surrounding skin, which can sometimes progress to a serious problem. Surgical drainge is the safest option.

NO: If it is infected, it will most likely require antibiotics. Some infected cysts, become abscesses and need to be incised and drained (with possible packing of sterile material) for definitive treatment. Best wishes.
