Yes they go away: You have cysts on your ovaries every month prior to ovulation. Sometimes the cyst fails to ovulate and a cyst becomes persisitant. If this happens you doc could give you oral contraceptive to shrink the cyst. If the cyst becomes greater that 6 cm sometimes you need surgery. You should follow up with your doc and check if the cyst is larger or persisitant.
