LBP: Consider weight control, postural changes, gentle stretching exercises, omega, etc. Low impact includes swim, walk, and bike.

Accepted Answer

: Not necessarily, as these are common and often totally asymptomatic.  Spine surgery is best considered if instability, unremitting pain, progressive weakness and/ or muscle atrophy, progressive numbness, bladder or bowel dysfunction.

Bone spurs: Talk to your doctor for health information, good meaning friends often don't really know what they're talking about. In this case, bone spurs don't grow because you're taking calcium. Ask your dr. If you need calcium.

Calcification.: It could be calcification where the Achilles tendon inserts on the heel bone. See a non-surgical sports medicine physician for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.

: An orthopedic specialist in spinal disorders can answer your question best after evaluating you and reviewing the MRI. You may be advised to try oral antiinflammatory medications,as well as physical therapy and/or have epidural injections of corticosteroids before surgery is contemplated.

Flattened vertebra: are usually due to compression fractures.  If there has been no trauma, other etiologies of low bone mineralization that could lead to weaker bones and thus spontaneous or insufficiency fractures should be explored.
