I have bone spurs in my neck, a friend told i should not take calcium as it would cause them to grow more?

Bone spurs: Talk to your doctor for health information, good meaning friends often don't really know what they're talking about. In this case, bone spurs don't grow because you're taking calcium. Ask your dr. If you need calcium.

Calcium: Is involved with bone mineralization. Theoretically too much calcium can translate to more robust mineralization leading to bone spurring. 500 to 1000mg/day calcium is reasonable as your kidneys clear excess.
