A member asked:

Do bone spurs in spine generally require surgery? what about partial sacralization?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily, as these are common and often totally asymptomatic. Spine surgery is best considered if instability, unremitting pain, progressive weakness and/ or muscle atrophy, progressive numbness, bladder or bowel dysfunction.
