Calming routine: You might benefit from making a list of all the reasons for your anxiety. Put together a to-do list earlier in the day--not close to bedtime. Then, allow yourself to be "off-duty" in the evening. Take a refreshing and relaxing walk to enjoy looking around your world a bit. To calm yourself:: Find a quiet place - do so. Breath in slowly ; deeply through your nostrils. Fill your lungs with air (but not to the point of discomfort). Hold for a count of five then slowly begin to exhale through an open mouth. Repeat at least 12 times, longer if you need to. If you haven't been assessed for your panic/ anxiety - that would be prudent. Anxiety is no fun but it is treatable.

See your doctor.: Anxiety is actually fairly common but unfortunately under recognized and under treated. See your doctor for a full checkup to review your complete medical health first. Your doctor may then discuss stress management techniques, refer you for counseling, and consider medication. Don't let your anxiety go untreated.
