It depends: Many people confuse abnormal, thickened or "hypertrophic" scars with "keloids".
Your tendency to form keloids can be quickly determined in consultation with a plastic surgeon.  There are many topical scar treatments including silicone-based products, vitamin e/aloe products and onion skin extracts (mederma) as well as corticosteroids to minimize and/or treat scars.  Pay close attention to any cut.

Unpredictable.: Keloids are unpredictable. If you are prone to them there is always a chance any time there is a break in your skin through a piercing a keloid can form.

Can't promise foreve: There are cosmetic surgeons and Keloid specialists who can treat your condition. However some people are prone to getting keloids. If it is a very small keloid you may want to leave it alone.

No. : Tonsillectomy involves the removal of tonsils which are in the throat. The mucous membranes of the mouth/throat do not form keloid.

i cut off a hypertrophic scar on my knee. i know i shouldn't have but will it grow back as a hypertrophic scar? i've always grown normal scars after injury. i am hispanic and i heard keloid scars are more likely if i am, but i've never grown one befo?

High risk to recur: A hypertrophic knee scar is likely to return without proper scar care or treatment.  An extensor surface like a knee with a genetic propensity towards hypertrophic scars is a difficult combination.  Proper surgical excision with postoperative silicone sheeting and intralesional steroid injections is a good treatment plan.

Keloids: Keloids can form after skin injuries from:

acne, 
burns, 
chickenpox, 
ear piercing, 
minor scratches, 
cuts from surgery or trauma, 
vaccination sites, 
tattoos.
Do not get the tattoo.

nose piercing: You could but why mutilate your body?. In my opinion a nose piercing will significantly decrease your employment chances over your entire lifetime.  That is, if you have equal qualifications to another candidate that does not have a nose piercing, they would be more likely to be chosen for a job in our society.
