i had liposuction done on my thighs 8 months ago. everything went well but the bruise is still there. how can i get rid of it?

Bleacher: The pigmentation after liposuction can be either from break down product of hemoglobin or from post inflamtory skin hyperpigmentation. For the 1st reason, only time can help to absorb the pigmentation. For the second reason you can use a bleacher like hydroquinone 4% that you apply on the pigmentation twice a day. Your surgeon can tell which one is the right approach.

how long will bruises last after chin liposuction? and will i be able to hide post-chin liposuction bruising with turtlenecks and makeup?

Accepted Answer

If : If bruising occurs, they will usually resolve in a few weeks with normal healing. Most of my patients have very little to no bruising. If needed, makeup and clothing are safe options for concealing surgical bruises.

how much bruising will i have after chin liposuction? i've seen pictures of people after abdominal liposuction, and they were covered in bruises. does chin liposuction cause severe bruising, too?

It's : It's pretty common to have bruising after neck liposuction. How much you will have varies quite a bit but it should resolve after about 2 weeks.

Avoiding blood thinner medications and supplements before and after surgery can help minimize how much bruising who'll have.

after injections & lasers for varicose & spider veins, the bruises & scars still in the skin. is there any cream or gel to reduce them please?... thx for answer.

Cosmetic overs: The discoloration may take up to 12 months to resolve. Use cosmetic skin tone covers til then.

could liposuction help reduce some health problems?

Accepted Answer

Not normally: In selected cases, liposuction has been should to improve glucose tolerance for diabetics much like weight loss. However, this requires large volume liposuction and is not a recommended indication for liposuction. Liposuction works best for men and women who are near their ideal body weight, and who have stubborn disproportionate areas of fat that can be contoured.

is tumescent liposuction less invasive than typical liposuction? i'm looking for a way to reduce my love-handles. is tumescent liposuction less risky than regular liposuction because local anesthetic is an option?

Result : Result are ok and you have higher risk of contour irregularities. I do both and i only recommend lipo to be done at the hospital under general anesthesia. 
Please consult with a real board certified plastic surgeon.

does massage help with swelling and faster healing after a body lift? i've heard that some people get lymphatic massages after liposuction to speed healing and reduce swelling. does it help after a body lift as well?

There : There are no peer-reviewed long term studies that verify this, but there are some smaller studies that demonstrate benefit.  If you see a licensed massage therapist there may be some benefit.

can you tell me if liposuction helps reduce some health problems?

Accepted Answer

Very little: Liposuction is for small volumes of fat not huge volumes of fat. If you loose say 20% of your body mass then yes you could have some health benefits nut not from the quantity removed in a liposuction.

what are ways to reduce face fat without liposuction?

Accepted Answer

Diet and exercise: No specific ways to lose from a single site.  Facial fat is gradually, naturally lost throughout a lifetime.  As it is typically a "secondary" type fat deposit (meaning diet and exercise available), it may improve with reduction of % body fat.

does laser liposuction reduce the amount of bleeding during surgery?

Accepted Answer

Possibly: All surgeries are patient and surgeon dependent.  In my personal experience, i see less bleeding in my smartliposuction (laser) patients.
