Pilonidal cyst : the solution is surgery. Untill you have it. Keep area clean. Shower multiple times a day. Bacteriacidal soap. Also for pain control you can use NSAIDs. And -/+ antibiotics per your surgeon.

Pilonidal cyst: We typically don't recommend patients drain abscesses (pus pockets) by themselves. Loculations (side pockets) can remain which need to be opened &amp; drained as well. Of course, abscesses do drain spontaneously on their own but if it's that painful, go see your family doc who can safely perform procedure or refer you to surgeon who can do so. You may need wick/packing left in place to allow healing.

See doctor ASAP: There are several possibilities including recurrence of the abscess, slowly progressive infection of the underlying bone, some inflammation or scarring from prior inflammation pressing on a nerve root, etc.. You need to be seen by a doctor and re-evaluated and suggest that this be done before whatever this is becomes much worse. Good luck.

No: If there's a little cancer in your pilonidal cyst (and it can happen, though unlikely, if things have been bad there for a while), the pathologist will find it.

Recurrence: Pilonidal conditions can have a relatively high risk of recurrence or coming back after surgery or other treatments. Depends on what surgery was done previously. See a doctor to find if there is minor treatment options or if surgery may be needed again.

: You likely need surgery for that complication so you should see a surgeon if you have not seen one in the past.

: It is not. Pilonidal cyst is in the area above the tail bone. Let the area heal and dont manipulate it. If not healed see surgeon or your doc. I think you will be fine.

They don't. : Something else is going on. See a colorectal surgeon or at least your primary care physicians. Pilonidal cysts can certainly cause a lot of problems, but jot rectal bleeding.
