Probably not: Physical activity shouldn't cause recurrence of a pilonidal cyst. Sometimes they just recur.

No: Recurrence is one of the more common problems after pilonidal surgery. Every procedure that we offer for it has this risk. At 6 months you should be 100% recovered. If this is happening, it sounds like you may have a recurrence. See your doc for evaluation and possible re-excision.
