Methotrexate: Unless you have been treated for a type of cancer, methotrexate is used to cause a miscarriage or to treat an ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy in tubes).  If you were taking it for other than cancer, it is possible that even small doses can adversely affect a pregnancy.  See your healthcare provider for advice, and obtain serial ultrasounds to follow the course of the pregnancy.

Methotrexate not bc: While Methotrexate isn't *helpful* with conception, it isn't going to make your wife sterile.  I would suggest good contraception.

NO: Methotrexate is in pregnancy drug category X meaning it can never be given during pregnancy. It is sometimes used to induce an abortion.

Should be ok: As long as where you are has nearby hospitals. Do bring a copy of your medical records, especially blood tests and ultrasound reports. By 5 days after a Methotrexate injection so people notice an increase in pain. However if you are having severe pain and feel lightheaded don't leave town!  see your doctor because the ectopic may be bleeding.

Normal : In the beginning it increase and then on 7th day of methotrexate it should decrease

Unlikely: The time it takes for 1/2 that medicine to leave your body is at the most 16 hours. Another half of the remainder in 16 and so on. By 3 weeks out there has been none in your system for some time. It can not effect the developing fetus if it is long gone.

Normal: It can be normal to feel a little pain, there could be some scar tissue there.  I'm sorry you're going through this, but likely everything is okay.  If you do become pregnant, make sure you see a doctor early in pregnancy to make sure the pregnancy is in the uterus.  Best of luck.

Mmm? Let's C.: If you have had a molar pregnancy, the use of Methotrexate is for what condition.  Obviously a molar pregnacy is virtually non-viable and occurs in 1/1000 pregnancies.   If you are on methotrexate, you cannot get prenant, because mtx is an abortifacient.  Mtx metabolites stay in your sytem for up to 2 & 1/2 months.  It should not cause complications, if you are justified in taking it.Do nnot try!
