Methotrexate: Unless you have been treated for a type of cancer, methotrexate is used to cause a miscarriage or to treat an ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy in tubes). If you were taking it for other than cancer, it is possible that even small doses can adversely affect a pregnancy. See your healthcare provider for advice, and obtain serial ultrasounds to follow the course of the pregnancy.
