i have a recurring ganglion cyst on my left foot, 3 surgeries and it is back again.  is there any tests or procedures  recommended to get rid of this?

MRI with contrast: It sounds like the surgeon did not completely remove the 'stalk'(from where the ganglion originated) .  Thus you were more prone to recurrence.  Ganglion cysts are notorious for recurrence because oftentimes you cannot completely discern its origin.  I recommend an MRI with contrast to accurately evaluate the extent and originationpart of the foot (joint or tendon) of the ganglion.

Done: If it reoccurs after one attempt, it is very unlikely that aspiration alone will be a permanent fix. If it is painful, consider having it surgically excised.

It is a fluid : Filled sac, the contents are often gelatinous, it could arise from a joint, or tendon. Not sure, if we know exactly why they occur but they do. They are benign and treated when they become painful or are enlarging.

Sure: Though I am not sure you will find a chiropodist anymore. Most are referred to as podiatrists. At least, in United States. I am unsure of other countries.

Muscle, tendons: Soft tissue means anything other than the bone and thus usually means muscles , tendons , or even fascia.  You need to ask him more about how to deal with it or prevent it from happening in the future.

Not likely: Although the cyst may be there, it does not mandate further care either. If there is growth or symptoms like pain or pressure, see a podiatrist or orthopedic surgeon to discuss further options on care.

Depends on the pain: Ganglion cyst is frequently associated with other problems in the joint that are causing the pain. However, give it a minimum of 6 weeks before thinking of any other procedures.

i have a lump on the top of my foot, i would like to know if it looks like a ganglion cyst or if its the wrong shape as it is about 6cm long and 2cm ?

See dermatologist: lesion should be evaluated by a dermatologist or podiatrist, esp if present for a while and increasing in size
