Not TMJ: Tmj disorders do not cause tongue swelling. The swelling may be related to a salivary gland but a number of conditions are associated with tongue swelling.

can dental work like bonding and grinding of rigged teeth cause tmj, sleep apnea, problems with epiglottis, tongue enlargement, suffocation?

Bonding: And other dental work can sometimes create a slight malocclusion, which can lead to TMJ symptoms in predisposed individuals.  All of the other symptoms you mentioned have absolutely no cause & effect relationship with dental bonding and enamaloplasty of teeth - outside of an acute allergic reaction to something used during treatment.  Have those other issues worked up by internist & sleep med doc.

tongue pain r side ent & dentist said no ulcer just little red. sharp molar fixed thought was rubbing. still pain. tmj cause this? hurts allday :(

Trauma: The tongue is a very sensitive structure.  If you had irritation to the side of the tongue due to a sharp or irregular area on one of your molars, the irritation should resolve within a few days.  If you have a TMJ disorder or are clenching your teeth, your tongue could be irritated as a result.

can intensly pushing tounge to roof of mouth and tmj issues cause tounge to burn and be sore also tigh tthroat or is it because of my oral hpv?

Burning tongue: TMJ dysfunction/ pain will not cause burning, sore tongue or a sore throat.
If you have an active oral hpv infection, you need to ask your health care providers about whether your symptoms are hpv related. This would entail a thorough clinical examination.
Call your physician, an ENT specialist or an oral surgeon.

TMJ: anterior digastric muscle spasm. TMJ disorder is the second most frequent cause of orofacial pain after dental pain. The common symptom are: headache, jaw pain, tongue pain, neck pain, eye pain, earache. Proper diagnosis is the key for the successful treatment. This disorder will not resolve on its own with home care. Rec.: orofacial pain specialist for evaluation and treatment.

Anxiety: A "restless tongue"(RT) is not a medical condition, but rather a symptom of anxiety or other psychiatric disorder. It is an oral compulsive habit similar to nail biting. TMJ is also associated with anxiety, depression and other psychiatric disorders. RT could be a symptom of OCD. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) would be helpful. Good questions....: You will need to see a dentist who can actually examine you in order to give you some accurate answers to your questions.  The internet is great for many things and some basic information, but can't replace a personal examination and evaluation.

open my mouth it hurts when i stick out my tongue it really hurts. sometimes my mouth hurts. could it be tmj what do i do about it snd what dr do i see? what do i do? just started a week ago can it be cured? is it a cavity? thank you?

: I don’t think it is TMJ.  However, how widely are you opening your mouth, when you stick tongue out.  Do you have any broken teeth.  I probably would start with Oral Surgeon.  Have an exam, and let OS take some diagnostic X-rays.  Do you clench you teeth.  Are you in a stressful situation.  Any ulcerations in mouth, on tongue. Again, I would seek out OS first.

TMJ: Try to let your tongue fall "relaxed" to the floor of your mouth between your lower teeth. Don't have your tongue pressing hard against the roof ( palate) of the mouth.

Yes and ...: A relationship exists  between how your teeth fit together, how your joints and muscles are able to function, how the head works with the neck and other actions such as swallowing and breathing.  When a patient loses his/her teeth something has to give.  This can be bite, tmj, sleep problems and a host of other aspects.  Treatments need to restore all of these to be effective or pain will result.
