Yes.: Gallbladder pain is typically localized to the right upper- or midline abdomen, but can occasionally feel like it is coming from the lower mid chest.  In fact, it is not uncommon to be hospitalized for a suspected heart attack only to find that it is due to the gallbladder.  This is not a diagnosis that can be made without testing;  if you have chest pain, go to an emergency room.

can a liver/gallbladder problem cause pleurisy or any other kind of annoying dull chest pain that a month ago emergency insisted wasn't my heart?

Follow-up as directed: The gallbladder to cause pain in the right upper quarter of the abdomen and epigastric region which can radiate to the back and lower chest. Peptic ulcer disease can also cause epigastric and lower chest pain. Other non-cardiac causes of chest pain include pleurisy, which is inflammation of the lining of the lung; muscle strain; and many other things. I'm glad you had your heart checked in the emergency department however I am sure they told you to follow up with your regular doctor and this is extremely important.

had gallbladder surgery recently now having bad burning chest pain. is it caused by excess of acids or bile? taking lansoprazole  and low fat diet.

GERD: Acid reflux is a separate problem and unfortunately in many cases patients suffering from gallbladder disease suffer from GERD as well and symptoms may be more noticeable now because they might have been attributed to gallbladder problem previously.  See your gastroenterologist or surgeon to discuss further . Thank you.

a has been having chest pain for months. gi says its not acis reflux, cardiologist said heart is fine & pulmonary doctor says his lungs are good. his hida scan showed his gallbladder functioning at 24%. could that cause his pain?

Gallbladder. : Gallbladder pathology will usually cause discomfort in the right upper abdominal quadrant. It would be unlikely that this would be causing your chest pain. However, if this is the only issue that is being found then diagnosis should be pursued further.

had stomach problems. doc gave me metronidazole and probiotics. pain abdominal right side, pain where my gallbladder used to be. can't burp. chest pain. upper back funny feeling and pressure. ekg 3 months ago normal. stomach or heart?

Gastroenterologist: Consult a gastroenterologist. Appropriate testing will be done. A cardiac cause in your age group is unlikely unless you have valvular or pericardial disease. Common bile duct stones or stricture,hiatal hernia, gastritis,abdominal adhesions come to mind.

Need evaluation: We need to know more about the discomfort you're having but it sounds like if it's that bad you need an evaluation now. Gallbladder is one possibility but usually that pain is in your right upper quadrant under the ribs. The location you have could suggest the lungs,  the heart, and even the esophagus. As you describe it, it sounds like it needs an evaluation now see your doctor.

Irritation of the di: The call bladder is connected to the liver. Just above it is the diaphragm. The procedure to remove the gall bladder can irritate the diaphragm and the tissues around the liver. When irritated, pain happens. It is just temporary,  but if continues call your doctor.

was told had fatty liver after gallbladder op and now pain in sides and back and chest pain. is my liver failing?

Post op pain: This is likely post operative pain and not pain from your fatty liver. I assume your operation was done laparoscopically, the gas used to inflate your belly can cause discomfort and be slowly reabsorbed and it could also be post surgical discomfort that can last for a couple of weeks post operatively. Failing livers don't generally hurt, liver inflammation usually does.

i had my gallbladder removed 3 weeks ago. i'm still having severe stomach and chest pain like the attacks. what could this be?

Other stuff? C ur MD: See your surgeon, and your regular doc.  If you were taking pain meds, or nsaids like ibuprofen, etc. May have inflammation of stomach, or ulcer. Adhesions from surgery not likely to cause this.  
Gb done laparoscopically, or open surgery)? May have retained stones.  May have something unrelated, including cardiac issues. Same pain as before surgery? Maybe gb not the cause.  Need to see md asap.

See your doctor: I do not know why you had gallbladder surgery. For gallstones? Sometimes there is food intolerance of fatty foods after gallbladder surgery. Sometimes there is something else such as gastritis, stomach ulcer, or other condition. Very rarely retained gallstone in the bile duct. See your doctor for an examination.
