NO: Oral cancers are associated with smoking, heavy alcohol use and human papilloma virus infection (especially base of tongue and tonsils). Minor trauma such as bites are not associated with cancer. Poor fitting dentures may increase risk but more likely due to trapping substances like tobacco residue.

Probably not: Can’t tell without looking but white patches on your gums and both sides of your mouth sounds more like fungus infection (thrush). Cancer at age 18 would be VERY unusual.

See your primary care doc (or dentist) for Dx and Rx.

Very different: Bulimia is the regurgitation of stomach contents (acid). The acid is powerful and can cause dissolving of the teeth if the bulimia is a regular occurence.
Mouth cancer is very different. It is characterized by: a mass in the mouth; an ulcer on the oral tissue; a discolored area of the tissue, etc. 
A consultation with a dentist or oral surgeon is needed to more fully assess.

More than cigs: A habit of smokeless is far worse than cigarette smoke. This is because you  constantly put the tobacco in the same place and it eventually leads to dyplasia of the gum tissue which could lead to cancers. 
I know it takes a lot of will power but...If you can quit the smokeless you'll be far better off.  And it is not a good habit to try to socialize with either.

Smokeless tobacco: Smokeless tobacco, as well as smoking cigarettes, cigars ; pipes all cause oral cancers. Rather than waiting until you develop early lesions, stop right now! these lesions start on a microscopic level until you notice (or don't because it's in a hidden spot) a red or white spot, ulcer or bump. Any lesion that lasts more than two weeks should be biopsied. Add alcohol 2 the mix and you increase risk.

Gum disease: More likely is gum disease.  Most mouth cancer starts on the side of the tongue or floor of the mouth, and in the early stages, has no symptoms.

Not Likely: While possible, oral cancer require many years of misuse to develop. Also, we are not certain of the effect of e-cigs but know there is a 100% correlation between use of SNUS with oral cancer developing in the location where the SNUS is placed in the mouth.  Most likely you have candidiasis or thrush but in any event, you need to see your dentist to have it evaluated &amp; treated.

Rare at your age: An ulcer or canker sore is much more likely to be due to infection or irritation than to cancer at your age.  But if you don't want cancer, avoid high risk behaviors or exposure to carcinogenic substances, like smoking/tobacco. If the sore does not go away in a few days or gets worse, see a doc: medical or dental.

No, but if you: keep up with drinking and smoking you are not doing yourself any favors for your future health. It may be more important for you to see a dentist to ensure that you do not have periodontal disease. Do you brush and floss daily? If not, get started.
