What are the effects of bulimia or mouth cancer on your teeth and gums?

Very different: Bulimia is the regurgitation of stomach contents (acid). The acid is powerful and can cause dissolving of the teeth if the bulimia is a regular occurence. Mouth cancer is very different. It is characterized by: a mass in the mouth; an ulcer on the oral tissue; a discolored area of the tissue, etc. A consultation with a dentist or oral surgeon is needed to more fully assess.

Ouch..: Bulimia causes severe erosion. You lose tooth structure from the large amount of acid exposure. This leads to sore teeth, loss of tooth structure and eventually the teeth break from lack of support. "mouth cancer" is to general to comment on. What type are we inquiring about?

Unrelated: bulimia not related to oral cancer. See oral surgeon or ENT doc if you have any of these symptoms: Persistent mouth sore, persistent mouth pain, a lump or thickening in the cheek, a white/red patch on the gums, tongue, tonsil, or lining of the mouth, a sore throat, hoarseness or feeling that something is caught in the throat that does not go away, difficulty swallowing/chewing.
