DDS: See DDS. See oral surgeon or ENT doc if you have any of these symptoms: Persistent mouth sore, persistent mouth pain, a lump or thickening in the cheek, a white/red patch on the gums, tongue, tonsil, or lining of the mouth, a sore throat, hoarseness or feeling that something is caught in the throat that does not go away, difficulty swallowing/chewing.

Examination: Instead of unnecessary worrying, find out what's wrong. Statistically odds are very much on your side. Please see your General Dentist for an evaluation. He/she may provide required treatment or refer you to a Periodontist or an Oral Surgeon. No matter the diagnosis, the cause, the sooner problem is addressed the simpler, less extensive, and less expensive the treatment. Don't procrastinate.
