i was diagnosed with fatty liver 5-10 years ago, recent blood work shows ast to be 16 and alt is 50. i was taking advil regularly before the test and have anxiety also have gallstones, currently having on and off pain around there. is it cirrhosis?

: The information you provided is not diagnostic of cirrhosis and it is highly unlikely that you have cirrhosis. All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Possible: If you are very underweight or very overweight you could become irregular.  If you are very overweight, losing weight may cause you to begin to cycle more regularly.

can typhoid delay periods by 11 days i had 104 fever and grade 1 fatty liver fora month my ultrasound and ct scan showed my utreus and ovary are both normal in size and et is 5 .5 mm my cycle is generally 42 days?

: I assume pregnancy is not an issue. A serious infection such as the one you experienced can delay your period that month. Your gynecologist can advise you best. A young woman with a grade 1 nonalcoholic fatty liver usually has some metabolic issue like obesity,hyperlipidemia,diabetes or insulin resistance as a cause.Your primary care MD or a gastroenterologist can evaluate &amp; advise you. No alcohol

Pruritis: If your pruritus is otherwise unexplained I suspect that it may be caused by liver disease in view of the presence of elevated ALT and a fatty liver.  I recommend abstinence from alcohol,following a low fat, low starch diet and being evaluated and followed by a hepatologist or gastroenterologist. Pruritis is not common in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease but can occur. Ask the liver specialist

Yes - minor scarring: The liver does have regenerative capacity in a healthy individual. Limiting calories under the supervision of a nutritionist may help to limit and reverse the damage caused by fatty liver which is commonly associated with being overweight.

: No. Chronic hepatitis is one of the causes of cirrhosis. You already mentioned alcohol. Non-alcoholic fatty liver can progress to cirrhosis. Hemochromatosis also results in cirrhosis. Other metabolic disorders like alpha 1 trypsin deficiency can also end up with cirrhosis.

gallbladder 17% function no stones on us does it need to come out if not can it set p gangreen? cn billirubin b caused by this or fatty liver?

Sounds like biliary: Dyskinesia, given that there are no stones and low gallbladder ef. Cholecystectomy will alleviate symptoms in 70% of patients with this diagnosis. However, if there is also elevated bilirubin, that is suspicious for obstruction. Bilirubin needs to be fractionated and if it is direct bilirubin which is elevated further studies are indicated (e.g. Mrcp). Fatty liver should not cause elevated bilirub.

Depends on cause: While obesity is the most common cause of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (nafld), there are other causes, including poorly controlled diabetes, drug toxicity, weight loss surgery and toxins.  In your case, since you refer to this being caused by some medication, the best thing to do is to remove the offending agent, meanwhile avoid fatty foods and avoid alcohol until you are cleared by your md.

i was diagnosed with incidental fatty liver caused by high triglycerides. i've been getting nightly muscles twitches in both legs. could it be related?

Not directly: But if you are taking statins to treat high cholesterol, these might be medication side effects. If it persists, consult with your doctor about your medications.
