Your meds plus ice: Tylenol (acetaminophen) generally works fine.  If that doesn't,  do it ibuprofen is the next step.  If the bruising is within the last day, an ice pack applied to the area for 20 minute/hr will help.

today had a partial big toenail avulsion: very thin sliver of toenail was removed due to ingrown toenail. 1) when will i feel pain relief from both the ingrown toenail & the surgery ? when can i begin walking 2 miles per day?

: With proper care you should have no limitations. Soaking and  applying antibiotic daily .  Should be able to walking will not harm procedure if shoe is not tight.

my last gallbladder attack was sunday 11pm since then i've had pain. very tender to touch. no fever a bit of nausea.  pain relief in certain positions?

Cholecystitis: Typically right upper abdominal pain as you described would be evaluated with liver lab tests and an ultrasound. I recommend semi-urgent/urgent medical evaluation, especially if you know you have gallstones. If cholecystitis is diagnosed, surgery would likely be recommended. There are other causes which can often be diagnosed with few tests.

i have 3 bulge disk, back pain runs down left side butt/thigh/foot. pain relief solutions.? stretching, medicine don't work. frustrated help pls.

Sciatica: Sciatica pain can be very disabling. Fortunately in most cases it is self limited and may take time. Some patients benefit from traction therapy with combination of muscle relaxers, analgesics (short course of opiates), and anti-inflammatory medication. Acupuncture me be alternative. Epidural treatments may be considered prior to surgical alternatives. Hope you feel better soon.

I seriously doubt...: ...that falling on your foot had anything to do with osteophyte formation in your vertebral column, assuming that's what you mean. (Is it?) The "nerve" sort of, indirectly, runs into to the foot but that doesn't mean it's causing your pain, which you don't describe (burning, aching, etc.). Don't get cut-happy. Surgery is a last resort for back problems &amp; usually only if you have motor weakness.

i have atrial fibrillation.  i take nsaids for knee and foot pain relief.. please recommend safe painkillers other than nsaids.

Tylenol (acetaminophen): In average doses...But if you are on blood thinners this must be discussed with your physician.

l5-s1 microdiscectomy fri for left leg sciatic pain. calf/foot pain relief w/some thigh/behind knee pain. pain less am but sharp pain down left leg into foot w/pain level of 9.5 & hurts sitting/lying.

Call your surgeon: pain of that severity radiating into your leg after back surgery to take pressure off the nerve root is concerning and might indicate swelling or other problems at the surgical site.  Please get in touch with the operating surgeon right away.

Get a second opinion: Sciatica refers to pain from pressure on nerves as they leave the lumbar spine. The pain can be felt all the way down the leg. Causes include herniated discs.  In addition to Naproxen type medication other medication to stop nerve pain can be helpfull such as gabapentin or Lyrica (pregabalin).
Sometimes a brief course of oral corticosteroids help.

Epidural corticosteroids probably don't help.

Is it painful?: If its painful you can see your doctor and they can drain it for you. Otherwise do nothing and it will heal with time.
