i have had a boil the last few days now and i've been putting a warm wet wash cloth on it. i think it popped can i press on it to help?

No pressing: You've done the right things so far causing the abscess to drain. Pressing on it further could result in damage to the surrounding tissue causing the underlying infection to spread. Rule of thumb here is that an abscess (boil) adequately drained can rely on the body's healing processes to clean up the mess. If it continues to drain and/or show signs of continued infection see your doctor.

: Yes you can lightly wet the skin, no harm. It may make the cream's affect last longer, if the skin is moisturized and lightly dried with a soft cloth/gentle towel before application of the cream/medicine.

Steroid and cocktail: is a strange prescription.  Viral sinusitis (if that is what it is) should clear up without steroids.  You might have something else.  If your cheeks are very red or painful or tender,or you have a fever you need to be seen again.  Meanwhile, best way to cool cheeks is a gel mask, keep one in fridge and wear the other.

is it bad to use q-tips to clean your ears? is it pushing ear wax further into your ears? would using a wet wash cloth be a better option?

Avoid: Q-tips should be avoided due to the possibility of damage to the inner ear.  It can also worsen blockage of ear wax.  It is recommended to put absolutely nothing that is smaller than your elbow into the ear.  A warm wash cloth to remove ear wax from the outer component of the ear is advised.

Yes, but unlikely: A person can get herpes from another person's fresh herpes sores. The other person may have sores on his or her genitals, lips, fingers, etc..., and transmit viruses by touching the uninfected person. Sometimes, infected persons can transmit herpes even when they don't have visible fresh herpes sores, so prevention is not always possible. Most adults have had oral herpes (HSV1) as it is so common.

Chemical irritants: Purchased wipes generally contain a variety of chemicals/preservatives/fragrances that can burn on contact with sensitive or raw skin. A washcloth does not.Parents can make up  their own wipes using a ziploc bag, olive oil and paper towels.These are not as irritating.

Allergy?: If your rash is if sudden onset then it may be an allergic reaction to something you swallowed or ate , or something you were exposed to. Cold shower with or without soap will give temporary relief. Use simple soap, but find out meanwhile what caused this rash.Try an antihistamine meanwhile.
