What are some reasons a girl baby will cry when getting wiped with wipes but when getting wiped with a wash cloth she doesn't?

Chemical irritants: Purchased wipes generally contain a variety of chemicals/preservatives/fragrances that can burn on contact with sensitive or raw skin. A washcloth does not.Parents can make up their own wipes using a ziploc bag, olive oil and paper towels.These are not as irritating.
