Yes: A moist cloth at room temperature may aid in reducing fever, particularly if rubbed on the skin vigorously. But this is only a temporary expedient. There is seldom a need to reduce fever unless it is producing cardiovascular compromise or making the person feel unbearably uncomfortable.
