I have had a boil the last few days now and i've been putting a warm wet wash cloth on it. i think it popped can i press on it to help?

No pressing: You've done the right things so far causing the abscess to drain. Pressing on it further could result in damage to the surrounding tissue causing the underlying infection to spread. Rule of thumb here is that an abscess (boil) adequately drained can rely on the body's healing processes to clean up the mess. If it continues to drain and/or show signs of continued infection see your doctor.
