i had a breast lift with silicone implants 9 days post op... i am having a lot of pain in between my breast..is this normal?

Improving or not?: The most important question is if the pain is getting better slowly, or not. If you find that it is not, then evaluation is needed, as occasionally problems can happen this late. Evaluate your pain medication use after surgery, which should be less than over the previous week by now. If you still require as much or more, then further evaluation is needed. In any case you need to follow up asap.

No: Some women may not be healthy enough for surgery. Those that are may not even need a breast lift but instead might need breast augmentation. The best way to determine what you need is to have a consultation with a plastic surgeon.

The breast needs to: be fully developed before a breast lift surgery is considered. I usually recommend a stable shape for two years.

Breast lift-children: It is best to wait until your family is complete before a breast lift since pregnancy will usually change the size and shape of your breasts.

Yes: Back, neck and shoulder pain can be improved by a breast reduction.  A breast lift is more of a cosmetic operation, but since some tissue is removed, back symptoms can improve.

A lot: In my practice, I have a lot of women in your age group who want improvement in their breast shape or position.  As long as the patient is otherwise healthy, breast lift procedures can yield excellent results.

Maybe: It is best to wait to do surgery on the breasts until they have stopped growing/developing.  If that is the case, then surgery can be done to lift the breasts.  This is commonly done for young patients with what is called "tuberous" breasts.

$1500-$6000.00: There are many different breast lift procedures which can vary from what is called a 'crescent ' lift for minor correction to the full procedure or 'anchor' lift as it is referred to.  These fees would include the anesthesia and the facility fees.

Lift vs Aug: Breast lift reshapes the breast by essentially retailoring the tissues fo the breast.  Augmentation is enlargement by way of an implant.  Sometimes because of the increased volume that a implant provides, the position of the nipple may appear higher.

what is the recovery time fafter  a breast lift and an abdominoplasty?

4-6 weeks: There are different phases of recovery.  The acute recovery phase is usually 2 weeks.  During this time, you should not drive and lift nothing more than 5 lbs.  Between 2-6 weeks,  you should not vigorously exercise.  Each surgeon has his/her own way of advising their patients, and i suggest you seek their counsel.
